I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
