Preview the Reimagined Legendary Adventure: This Complimentary Demo for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Lands Shortly.
Enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the launch of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined don't need to wait much longer. An exciting trial experience will release on January 7th, granting a generous taste into the game's opening hours. Importantly, all advancement made within this demo will be able to be imported directly into the main game upon its eventual launch.
More Than a Straightforward Re-release: A Complete Overhaul
This title is a comprehensive reinterpretation of the iconic year 2000 RPG, first titled Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. In a notable departure from recent Dragon Quest re-releases, like the recently released HD-2D versions, this remake utilizes a striking three-dimensional aesthetic. Environments appear to look like detailed miniature worlds, with protagonists sporting a delightful stylized design.
"Even with the 3DS version, the main quest was remained quite extended. Consequently, the team came to a decision that we wanted to condense the story, [and] craft an experience for today's gamers."
Major Gameplay Enhancements & Updates
The development team have added a host of modernizations to update the classic experience. These include:
- Quick Field Encounters: Taking a cue from contemporary role-playing games, weaker enemies can now be defeated directly on the field without entering a full traditional battle screen.
- Variable Combat Speed: Players have the option to speed up battle sequences to rapidly get past simpler encounters.
- New Vocation Mechanics: One completely new character role was created for this remake. Furthermore, party members now have the capacity to take on a secondary job, significantly expanding strategic depth.
Such changes seek to address a key the 2000 title's frequent points of feedback: its daunting playtime. That initial main quest could easily take over 100 hours to see through. The reimagined edition has been expressly structured to improve flow and cut down on any repetition.
