Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
This young athlete maintains impressive social media audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers as she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically suggested to go out there and relax," she explained.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially among younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
